Stephen Hayward was appointed Consultant Radiologist at the Royal United Hospital Bath in 1989 and also consults in the Radiology Departments at the BMI Bath Clinic and CircleBath. In addition to general Radiology practice, Stephen specialises in Abdominal and Gastrointestinal imaging, with a particular interest in Colorectal imaging and CT Colonography.
After medical qualification and Radiology training in London, Stephen was awarded a British Institute of Radiology Scholarship in 1989.
He was appointed a National Examiner for the Royal College of Radiologists in 2004 and continues to be actively involved in the teaching and examination of Radiology trainees. In 2007 he was elected a Fellow of the British Institute of Radiology and is an active member of the British and European Societies of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology.
In 2010 Stephen was a member of the Colorectal expert panel for the Royal College of Radiologists Referral Guidelines MBUR7.
